Holiday 2011 - Top 3 destinations

Italy is one of our favourite destinations. We love Umbria, with its rolling hills, sparkling lakes and medieval hill towns, and little-known Le Marche for its luscious countryside and beautiful villas. Or head south to Puglia where you can stay in a five-star masseria or a luxury self-catering trullo with pools. For old-school Italian glamour it’s hard to beat the Amalfi coast.

The Italian islands of Sicily and Sardinia have great beaches: we recommend Forte Village in Sardinia and Verdura Golf & Spa Resort in Sicily.

1.Forte Village

2.Verdura Golf

3.Spa Resort

Greece is all about simplicity: sun, sand, traditional cooking and great hospitality. For families, we recommend Sani Resort on a spectacular stretch of beach on the mainland. Paxos is a simple, laid-back island that doesn’t even have its own airport, while Crete offers great beaches and lots to do. Avoid the package resorts and stay at one of these gorgeous boutique hotels.

Spain has many great beach destinations. We like the coast of Catalonia for fishing villages, quiet coves and mountains, but if you want long stretches of fine white sand and dunes, rent a villa on the Costa de la Luz. The Balaeric islands of Mallorca and Ibiza both have wonderful beaches – just avoid the low-rent resorts. You know the ones we mean.

Spring/Summer 2011 Make Up Trends

1. Triangle Eyeshadow
We all know how we’re supposed to blend in a darker shade of shadow in the shape of a triangle on the outer corner of our eyes to give a little bit more depth. However, the triangle make up that I am referring to is not the one at the outer corner of our eyes, but instead it’s on inner corner of our eyes. The way the model above is wearing this "triangle eye shadow" is remarkably...not bad.

2. Bold Lips
I gotta say that this has to be one of my absolute favourite make up trends! I am so in love with bold red lipsticks, bright orange (not that I could ever wear this colour!) as well as lips in hot shocking pink! Totally delicious and totally eyecatching! While hot pink lipstick tempts me but I don't see how this kind of lipstick is wearable to work or any suburban setting xD But yeah, it looks like fun to wear for sure ^_^  The orange-toned lipsticks look very promising and much more wearable though.

3. Natural Make Up
This look is great for everyday! It’s really easy to do and really easy to wear as well! It’ll go with basically everything in your closet, and the through out the day touch up is minimal. The thing about natural make up is that you gotta make sure everything looks soft and dewy, and not harsh and powdery.

4. Bright Pastel Eye Make Up Last but not least, bright pastel eye make up! Yeap, you heard it right! Soft pastel colours are in for the eyes as well! I know how the bright eye make up and pastel eye make up doesn’t quite gel together, but hey you can always pick a pretty pastel eye colour and then dabbing on a bit more to give it that bright, bold look. Simply fabulous! I can’t wait to try this trend out!

Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin (born January 7, 1964) is a footwear designer who launched his line of high-end women's shoes in France in 1991. Since 1992, his designs have incorporated the shiny, red-lacquered soles that have become his signature. On March 27, 2007, Louboutin filed an application for U.S. trademark protection of this red sole design.

Shoes:
Louboutin helped bring stilettos back into fashion in the 1990s and 2000s, designing dozens of styles with heel heights of 120mm (4.72 inches) and higher. The designer's professed goal is to “make a woman look sexy, beautiful, to make her legs look as long as [he] can.” While he does offer some lower-heeled styles, Louboutin is generally associated with his dressier eveningwear designs incorporating bejeweled straps, bows, feathers, patent leather and other, similar decorative touches.
In his U.S. trademark application, Louboutin explains the inception of the signature red soles:
"In 1992 I incorporated the red sole into the design of my shoes. This happened by accident as I felt that the shoes lacked energy so I applied red nail polish to the sole of a shoe. This was such a success that it became a permanent fixture."
Louboutin received inspiration for his lethal-looking stilettos from an incident that occurred in his early 20s. He had visited a museum and noticed that there was a sign forbidding women wearing sharp stilettos from entering for fear of damage to the extensive wood flooring. This image stayed in his mind, and he later used this idea in his designs. "I wanted to defy that," Louboutin has said. "I wanted to create something that broke rules and made women feel confident and empowered."
Louboutin has topped The Luxury Institute's annual Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI) for three years; the brand's offerings were declared the Most Prestigious Women's Shoes in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
