Say Goodbye to Sunburn

Been there, done that. Our worst sunburns? We recall one time we got so burnt, we could hardly move. Or the other time we wanted to get a quick tan for the next day’s party, but instead showed up looking like a ripe tomato. These horror stories in tow, we want to help girls dodge nasty sunburns, so read up on our helpful hints.

Seriously, holy ouch.
Why do you want to prevent sunburns? That’s easy. They’re painful, they look awful, and bad sunburns you get when you’re a teenager can cause cancer and wrinkles later in life.
Before you hit the beach: Start hydrating and moisturizing. Because if you stay hydrated, you won’t pass out on the sand and wake up with a wicked burn. Rub on sunscreen (not sun tan lotion or oil!) 30 minutes before you catch some rays to start protecting yourself. If you’re able, stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. because that’s when the sun’s rays are the strongest. And don’t forget your shades!
